1/20/18 – Team currently has a full basic chassis built with functioning motors and a basic drive-train program.
Plans for today – Get robot prototype build either complete or very close. Robot plan is to create a one sided catapult that can pick up blocks from the ground and portal as well as launch them overhead into the switch from the exact position that they are picked up from.
Currently the team is only at 5 members with most teammates missing for today, while we are working at Cimarron High School inside of their robotics facility.
Further changes are listed below:
-Wheels for the catapult are being changed to VEX Omni Wheels.
-Circuitboard setup is being finalized to be out of the way of the robot but also being able to have the battery easily removed for charging and weighing purposes.
-Wires for certain parts will be extended to match the changing design of the board.
-Circuit breaker is going to be suspended a bit higher off the board (1⅞) due to wire constraints.
-Bumper plates are going onto the front side of the chassis.
-Anchor brackets added to robot.
-PDP zip tied onto board (possible to change later)
-Angle of launch changed to be shorter.
-Catapult modified for holding and receiving cube at a better angle.
